Raised in Des Moines, Iowa, Mark S. Peterson was influenced by art at an early age - producing such crafts as handmade kites and pottery pencil cups before he could spell, and mastering jazz saxophone well enough in his teens to sit in with some of the best players in the region - despite having to sneak in to jazz clubs to do so. Mark picked up a camera at age 6, and four-plus decades later has yet to put it back down.

Today an ultralight hiking and global travel fanatic, Mark concentrates on producing creative, dramatically lit, conceptual photographs for a wide variety of clients, and is regularly commended for his attention to detail and his fun, collaborative outlook.

Having gained some experience along the way as a college instructor, Mark has also developed a complete range of photographic instructional workshops, offering leading-edge photography content, technique, and skills development in both field and classroom formats.

Mark's photographs have been widely published internationally, and his fine-art images hang in public and private galleries across the US and in Europe.
